January 16th
- South African Wines

Presented by: John Sporing

John Sporing is the CEO and founder of A Life Well Drunk (ALWD), a wine education and tourism company. He holds an Advanced Certification from the Wine and Spirits Education Trust of London and holds the titles of Certified Specialist of Wine from the Society of Wine Educators, Certified Port Educator from the Instituto dos Vinhos do Douro e Porto, and Certified Sherry Educator from the Consejo Regulador of D.O. Jerez-Xérès-Sherry, and Sommelier from the Guild of Sommeliers. In addition, he is a Sake Ambassador and Sommelier from the Guild of Sommeliers. He is an active AWS wine judge and educator. SOLD OUT

- Valentine's Session

For the Love of Wines, featuring wines from 8 countries that also celebrate Valentines.

A Valentine’s Tasting Tour: Worldly Wines, Sweet Bites, and Red Roses for the Queens.

Did you know Valentine’s Day isn’t just an American affair? Countries like Switzerland, England, Argentina, Spain, Norway, China, Germany, Italy and others all celebrate love in their own unique ways. Whether you say “I love you,” “Te amo,” “Je t’aime,” “Eu te amo,” or “Meo amorea,” the message is the same: Love.

March 20th -
Rediscover the Bold and Bright Flavors of Portugal

Rediscover Portugal through the glass as we explore the bright, coastal freshness of Vinho Verde, the deep, expressive reds of the Douro and the soulful traditions that make Portuguese wines some of the most captivating in the world; this tasting brings together native grapes, centuries of craftsmanship, and vibrant regional character for an evening that celebrates the beauty, history, and heart poured into every bottle.

April 17th -
Taste the Fire and Soul of Sicily

Journey to Sicily for an evening of volcanic energy, sun‑drenched vineyards, and wines that capture the island’s wild beauty; from the mineral‑driven elegance of Etna Bianco and the silky, aromatic charm of Frappato to the bold, dark‑fruited depth of Nero d’Avola, this tasting celebrates Sicily’s ancient grapes, coastal breezes, and rich winemaking traditions in every glass. Rediscover the island where history, heat, and heritage come together to create wines as unforgettable as the land itself.

May 15th -
"Good as Gold" New Zealand Wine Night

Good as Gold is a common Kiwi slang expression meaning great, perfect, excellent, of going really well. Join us for a lineup of New Zealand wines that are truly good as gold. - vibrant, expressive, and guarantee to leave you smiling.

New Zealand is world-renowned for its vibrant Sauvignon Blanc, particularly from the Marlborough region, alongside premium white and red wines like Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir.

AWS National Tasting Project 2026

Limited to 15 people.

The 2026 theme is central Italy, and they have selected 12 wines that
showcase the region’s diversity, character, and remarkable value.

July 25th - Time to Bottle wine

We will bottle the 2025 harvest @ Make Wine With Us

DON’T Forget every month Make Wine With Us will have a Barrel tasting schedules are posted at the www.MakeWineWithUs.com webpage.   

 

This is an opportunity to sample wines right from the barrels.  Taste the wines and ask questions, explore and learn about the wonderful world of wine.   No fee.

August 8th
Sangria and Tapas Night

This year, we are proud to announce our second collaboration with Segovia Steak and Seafood Restaurant, renowned for its exceptional culinary offerings. Together, we are delighted to present you with an exquisite selection of authentic tapas dishes that embody the rich traditions and flavors of Spanish cuisine.  They will provide the food, and we will provide the Sangrias.    This will be hosted at your favorite local winery, Make Wine With Us!      (Fan Favorite, over 75 participants)

September 12th   The RAT PACK is BACK with Guests

Make Wine with Us and American Wine Society Meadowlands Presents:  Phil Miuccio and friends, they will sing a few favorite classic tunes for your enjoyment and dancing.  Join Phil and Friends for a night of Sinatra and other Rat Pack Classics.    He will be joined by Jerry Lanzerotti of “Party of Five” and maker of the best cannoli in Bergen County at Lyndhurst Patry!     Eric Lucka will be our DJ for this evening’s fund raiser.

October TBA @ Segovia Steakhouse and Seafood.

Note to Our Guest and Members for 2026 Calendar

 If you are interested in delivering a presentation for the esteemed members of the American Wine Society, we would be delighted to hear from you. 

Over the years, we have hosted exceptional presentations from industry leaders, including  distributors, wine makers and various wine brand representatives. 

We offer an engaged audience of 40–50 participants who share a passion for wine and its culture. Please feel free to reach out to discuss the details.    We would be more than happy to collaborate with you to ensure a successful event.

AWS Meadowlands chapter sessions are generally $20/p for active AWS Members and $25/p for guest.  Guest are welcome to attend up to three AWS sessions.   

Special events are separate from our AWS educational / learning sessions and are more social in nature.
